Settings

What each section of Settings changes, for the project and for Bakspace.

Cmd , opens Settings, or the settings button at the foot of the binder and on Home. File > Project Settings (Cmd Alt ,) opens it at the project. Settings takes the place of the page; close it with the cross or Esc.

The sections under the project's name belong to that project and travel with its folder. The sections under Bakspace belong to this Mac.

The project

  • Project: the title, the kind of project, and a Manuscript word target. With a target set, the word count pill shows how far along you are.
  • Labels and statuses: rename, recolour, add and remove them. See Organising.
  • Compile: the preset, author, contact and scene break that export uses. See Export.
  • Snapshots: snapshot the whole project, and restore the whole project from one. See Snapshots and history.
